Lenten Season 2009

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our Lenten journey to Easter. During these next forty days, take time to remember the loving God who gave us life and to whom one day we will return. Despite all of the possessions we manage to acquire during our short time here, our greatest possessions are the gifts God has given us in life and love.

We all have busy lives, but even in this situation, Jesus leads by example for us. Rather than flee persecution in order to continue his important work on Earth, he spends his last supper with his family of disciples, reminding us to break bread together. It is in that same spirit that we urge everyone to join us for a meal of bread and soup and a mid-week Lenten worship service. Come share a meal with your family in Christ and let us together remember that we are dust, and to dust we shall return.
